Q. Who owns Rehab and Retreat, Senior Care Specialists?
A. Keltie Brisson and Chelsea Krupa co-own the business. Chelsea Krupa is an occupational therapist and holds
an active membership with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists. Keltie Brisson is a recreation
therapist and is a current member of the Alberta Therapeutic Recreation Association.
Q. How long has Rehab and Retreat been operating?
A. Since February, 2012.
Q. What are the days and hours of operation?
A. Monday thru Friday from 9AM to 3PM and evenings and weekends open upon request.
Q. Is transportation to and from the adult day centre provided?
A. At this point in time, transportation is not provided by Rehab and Retreat. We suggest clients be: dropped off
and picked up by caregivers, use DATS (Disabled Adult Transit Service), or personal driving services (i.e.,
Driving Miss Daisy).
Q. Who will attend our day support program?
A. Anyone requiring a supportive, safe and stimulating environment may be accepted. Based on our free intake
assessment, we will determine if our program can meet the needs of the client.
Q. What is the ratio of staff to participants?
A. Our ratio will be one staff to every five participants. This may change as the needs of our clients change.
Q. What activities are offered?
A. Arts and crafts, musical entertainment and sing-a-long, mental stimulation games, stretching and gentle
exercise, discussion groups (books, films, current events), holiday and birthday celebrations, local outings
Q. Are meals and snacks included? Are special diets accommodated?
A. A continental breakfast and hot lunch will be provided daily. Special diets will be accommodated.
Q. How much does it cost to attend?
A. The cost of the program is $25 an hour and includes all meals and supplies. Some clients have been able to claim costs through insurance plans. All healthcare costs are tax deductible.
